StanChart to Join Thomson Reuters African KYC Service

Standard Chartered is the fourth bank operating in South Africa to sign up for Thomson Reuters' regional KYC service, which the vendor launched last year.

Thomson Reuters launched Org ID KYC in 2014, and the solution now serves 26 financial firms, manages more than 350,000 KYC records, and publishes more than 1.25 million legal entity profiles to help customers accelerate client on-boarding, comply with regulations, and reduce costs. The vendor launched the African KYC managed service in July 2016 with partner banks Barclays Africa, Rand Merchant Bank, and Standard Bank of South Africa.
