IBM offers a range of back-office hardware including disk storage for securing IT systems and data, and IBM smarter systems. The latter displays the kind of innovative thinking that helped Big Blue scoop first prize in the best back-office hardware provider category, its second win in the 2010 Waters Rankings. The Smart Analytics Systems comprises analytics software for business intelligence, text analytics and data mining; an advanced warehousing platform with workload management; and advanced system automation. IBM’s smarter systems portfolio contains its pureScale Application System, a workload-optimized solution for transaction processing and database application workloads. IBM’s disk storage system enables businesses to control the cost and complexity of managing data without needing to keep adding administration staff and storage space as data volumes continue to grow. With hardware encryption capabilities available on many servers, also included is a range of software features designed to meet the security needs and expertise in datacenters around the world, allowing businesses to secure data while still supporting collaboration and sharing.
