Portware Plans to Move Into Fixed Income

Having watched foreign exchange (FX) volumes grow 24 percent on its electronic trading platform in the first quarter of 2012, Portware has decided to turn its attention to another asset class─fixed income. Over the next 12 months, it plans to explore the possibility of electronifying a largely manual asset class.

"It's kind of in its nascent stages," says president and COO Scott DePetris. "Certainly for what we do it seems to be a very ripe market."
