Bangladesh's capital markets are undergoing a period of transformation.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has gone live with a new matching engine from the US exchange operator, with the first day of trading using the X-Stream Inet platform passing successfully on Thursday. The move is in line with wider changes at the bourse, which recently unveiled a comprehensive business plan to turn its equities-only business into a thriving, multi-asset market in the next five years.
