SEC Combats Errors with Registration Fee Estimator

Regulator wants to continue adding more form types, such as 24F-2NT, the S-8 and the SF-3.

Calculating registration fees might not seem exciting, but it's a process all financial firms must handle.

In effort to ease those compliance requirements, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently released an online tool to help firms calculate registration fees. Andrew Grimaldi, filing fees branch chief at the SEC, explains to WatersTechnology the concept around developing the Registration Fee Estimator tool and how it was built.
