Dear Mr. Daly,

I read your recent column "Light Speed and Then Some" in the September issue of [DWT sibling publication] Waters with great interest and while I think you highlight some important trends and I agree with your overall analysis, I'm not sure I agree with one part of your conclusion.

Discussing the increased complexity imposed by writing distributed, parallel programs, you write, "… with the performance capabilities of larger multi-core processors, Java isn't going to hack it.
