SEC Seeks To Link Options Markets Bonanza For Systems Developers

Following its long-awaited decision to lift the ban on multiple trading of options, the Securities & Exchange Commission is inviting comment on proposals on market integration facilities like those in the securities industry. The scope of the proposals caught the exchanges off guard, even though the agency danced around central issues of systems design, development and maintenance.

In a white paper published last month, the agency proposes adoption of one or more of three basic integration
