Reserve Bank To Revamp Data Systems: Plans To Replace Citydesk With TRS

DEALING ROOM SYSTEMS

The Reserve Bank of Australia has set plans for an overhaul of its dealing room platform that will result in the bank's removing its existing Midas-Kapiti International Citydesk data distribution system. The bank will install instead Dow Jones Telerate's Trading Room System running on Hewlett-Packard Unix servers and Microsoft Corp. Windows NT-based PCs on the desktop.

According to Mike Sinclair, the Reserve Bank's senior manager for foreign exchange dealing, the bank's 40 or so users of Citydesk
