EBS, Minex Merge: Minex System Dies; Citi Weighs Sale Of CDR Unit

The merger of the Electronic Broking Service Partnership and Minex foreign exchange electronic broking operations was completed last week, with the final shutdown of Minex service. When Minex was turned off, most of Minex' customers shifted to EBS, EBS officials say.

Meanwhile, Citicorp Dealing Resources (CDR), the unit of Citicorp that developed and supports the EBS system, may soon change hands, as a purchase bid placed by U.S. venture capitalists Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe awaits approval
