Hardware Failure Halts Bats Europe Trading

Bats Europe stops trading

A third-party hardware failure at 9:36 a.m. local time halted trading on pan-European multilateral trading facility (MTF) Bats Europe this morning.

Following the advice of the hardware vendor, the undisclosed faulty component was replaced, rectifying the issue.

"At this time, we have decided that trading on the Bats Europe platform will remain halted through today's trading session," says an MTF spokesperson. "We believe this is the best course of action in order to ensure trade data integrity
