Omgeo: Settlement Risk Still a Significant Challenge
According to a recent study carried out by Omgeo, the trade processing specialist jointly owned by the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. (DTCC) and Thomson Reuters, the capital markets are still experiencing settlement failure rates as high as 10 percent for equities and seven percent for fixed-income trades, despite improvements to clearing and settlement infrastructures.
