Metamako Adds Aggregation Capabilities to MetaConnect

Metamako continues expansion in ultra-low latency devices for exchanges and the trading community with the launch of MetaMux.

The new product, MetaMux, combines the features of the MetaConnect 16-port and MetaConnect 48-port as well as those of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to allow ultra-low-latency connectivity to and from exchanges at a speed of four nanoseconds, as well as network tapping into the same device. Firms can receive datafeeds with latency of about four nanoseconds and process orders through the same device at a latency of about 100 nanoseconds—twice as fast as conventional switches, according
