Despite taking on the head of global exchange role three months ago at the clearing house, Pravettoni left the company to pursue other interests, the clearer's owner London Stock Exchange (LSE) confirmed.

While Pravettoni has not been directly replaced at LCH, Cecile Nagel and Bruce Kellaway have taken on the roles of global head of equities and global head of fixed income respectively, sharing Pravettoni's responsibilities.

Prior to his role at LCH.Clearnet, Pravettoni held the positions of managing director of Goldman Sachs and vice-president at Citibank.

At the start of December, chief operating officer Martin Pluves was promoted to CEO at LCH.Clearnet Limited, following previous chief executive Michael Davie taking on the newly-created role of LCH.Clearnet group chief operating officer.
