The BT Radianz Cloud, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, delivers market data, historical data, and analytics services to a community of thousands across several hundred providers, both on the buy side and the sell side. Its managed services provide connectivity and hosting services to help sell-side firms find liquidity avenues around the globe and execute trades, while its stable of content providers, including exchanges, is over 400 strong.

A host of foreign exchange (FX) providers and over 100 execution venues can be accessed via the BT Radianz Cloud, which is also the world’s largest FIX provider.

Since last year’s win, BT has been busy enhancing its suite of solutions. First, it operationalized BT Netrix HiTouch, a touchscreen trading device that aims to improve collaboration among teams and more efficient workflows around communications. The vendor also increased access to a handful of pre-trade applications and services, including new sources of market data, including a Borsa Istanbul feed. Additionally, it expanded core venue connectivity services with Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed cross-connect capabilities within—and between—datacenters, and added finance-grade virtualized compute infrastructure to its datacenters, which included extending access to public cloud compute services, enabling hybrid public/private cloud solutions, according to the company.

Volante Technologies teamed up with BT in late 2015, linking to the Radianz Cloud where clients can now access Volante’s integration and message-translation tools in order to help reduce costs and increase productivity. At the time of the partnership, Fiona Hamilton, London-based vice president for Europe and Asia at Volante, told Waters that this would open up services to new asset classes for BT customers.

“It’s a broad range of products that we are bringing to the BT Radianz Cloud, enabling BT customers to leverage that technology to integrate with their corporate customers if they are a bank, or the banks if they are a corporate,” she said. “Equally, it’s as applicable to other asset classes, capital markets, equity, fixed income, over-the-counter derivatives, credit finance, and supply chain finance.”

The BT Radianz Cloud, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, delivers market data, historical data, and analytics services to a community of thousands across several hundred providers, both on the buy side and the sell side.

BT won the most recent Waters Rankings award for the best network provider, which, when considered alongside BT Radianz Cloud’s four consecutive wins in the SST Awards best cloud provider category, underlines the vendor’s position as the industry’s undisputed leader in the cloud and connectivity spaces.
