Wells Fargo Taps MDCOPs to Arrest Costs

Wells Fargo is expanding a cost management tool first deployed last year, which will enable bank staff to run custom queries against their own or their group’s data usage and spend details, and potentially broaden the tool’s adoption to include other areas of Wells Fargo’s business, beyond market data.

The “self-service” tool, dubbed MDCOP (Market Data Cost Optimization Portal), was first rolled out as a pilot version around the end of the first quarter last year, initially focusing on the firm
