eVestment's Minnick Discusses Recent Acquisitions

Last week eVestment Alliance, which launched in 2000 and provides a database of information on institutional investment managers as well as cloud-based analytics, announced that it had acquired PerTrac and Fundspire, both of which provide analytics to the buy side. This comes a year after it had bought HedgeFund.net, another alternatives-focused data provider.

Minnick says that these recent moves play into a larger trend in the industry where institutional investment managers are looking to
