Credit Suisse Asset Management sped up the rate of its global technology overhaul with three important initiatives all of which were to complete major stages during the year. Specifically, the respective initiatives were an upgrade to the firm's proprietary, Unix-based BEAMS portfolio management system; the implementation of a global data warehouse on an Oracle database; and the worldwide rollout of its Global Contact Management Platform (April 12, 1999).
