DTCC-Thomson Partnership Gets a Name; Clearing Firms Consolidate

NEW YORK--The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. (DTCC) and Thomson Financial have announced the name of their joint venture company: Omgeo. Set to launch by the end of the first quarter, Omgeo plans to add two new members to its board of directors to bring the total to nine. Omgeo is also currently in the process of selecting five outside industry representatives from the nine-member board to govern the new company.
