Thomson Financial, an operating unit of the Toronto-based Thomson Corporation, has unveiled infrastructure improvements including connectivity to facilitate remote internet access for users to Thomson Datastream, the vendor’s historical financial numerical database. Thomson Financial has installed IBM’s Z990 mainframe, increasing capacity by 35%, providing improved client query response times. In addition, users can now access Thomson Datastream via the Internet through the industry standard
