Cloud Definition Remains Elusive

Cloud is still not being used extensively for execution, said panellists at the BST European Summit 2012 in London.

The definition of what precisely cloud technology entails is still a divisive topic, according to panellists at the Buy-Side Technology European Summit in London.

Speaking during a case study, Amar Banwait, director of trading at Midwestern Capital LLC called into question the idea of a private cloud, stating that due to its inherent obligations it could not truly be called a cloud solution. Cloud, according to Banwait's definition in his presentation, is an exercise in unlimited and scalable
