Conde joins Calastone Board

Cristóbal Conde has joined Calastone as a non-executive director.

Calastone, the global funds transaction network, has appointed former SunGard chief executive, Cristóbal Conde, as non-executive director. Conde will take a seat on the Calastone board and has also purchased a minority stake in the privately held business.

Conde stepped down from SunGard in May 2011, prior to which he co-founded Devon Systems in 1983. When SunGard acquired Devon in 1987, Conde ran the business as a division of SunGard, growing it into one of the largest businesses within the SunGard stable. Conde was subsequently promoted to run the entire SunGard business, and, half-way through his 12-year tenure at the technology firm, he took it private in 2005 in a record-breaking $11.3bn LBO transaction.
