R3 Partners with Thomson Reuters to Expand Buy-Side Participation

Thomson Reuters’ involvement aimed at improving buy side participation on distributed-ledger technology.

Charley Cooper, managing director at R3 tells WatersTechnology that the group's intention was always to move beyond the sell side and include those on the buy side.

"When we launched R3 we started with the bank community looking to create gravity in the distributed ledger space," says Cooper. "But our intention was always to move more broadly, beyond just the sell side and work with potential clients in buy side, insurance companies, financial players."
