The higher-bandwidth offering will be available by July, and aims to meet increasing demand for bandwidth, and the growing need for on-demand services and network flexibility. Colt officials say demand is particularly coming from Hong Kong-based financial institutions, as well as businesses with high-bandwidth requirements.
The expansion in Hong Kong comprises both fiber-optic and Ethernet architecture and will provide connectivity to about 80 percent of Hong Kong’s commercial buildings.
