Goldman Sachs Seeks To Move Feed Handling From Stratus Ticker Plant

Goldman Sachs & Co. is considering replacing its New York ticker plant, running FD Consulting Inc.'s Ticker Plant System (TiPS) on a Stratus Computers Inc. supermini, with workstation-based feed-handling software. The move, which would make better use of the Stratus's capacity, is part of a systems upgrade for the firm's block equity trading operation, Goldman sources say.
