To Build Brand in Japan, Thomson Reuters Backs Capital Market Development Initiatives
Participation in market structure initiatives in the region will help boost the vendor's presence, oficials say.
For example, Thomson Reuters is currently involved in the Tokyo Global Financial Center plan, an effort by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to transform Tokyo into a hub of international finance by 2020, when the city will host the Olympic Games. The plan is expected to boost Tokyo's standing as a financial center by facilitating the business activities of financial professionals in Japan and abroad, and supporting domestic and foreign capital investment.
