Despite continued efforts to control data costs, spend on market data in Asia-Pacific is set to increase as banks and investment firms shift their trading from regions most heavily affected by the economic downturn to take advantage of opportunities arising from the continued growth of Asian markets, according to a panel of end-users at last week’s Asia-Pacific Financial Information Conference in Hong Kong.
