CEP Consolidates Position as Technology Matures
Mainstream vendors entered the CEP fray, as Sybase launched an integrated CEP component based on Coral8's CEP engine within its RAP Trading Edition analytics platform (IMD, March 16). Microsoft announced its entry into CEP with a platform planned for general release in 2010, which will integrate with other Microsoft products (IMD, June 1).
However, the space also saw consolidation, with Aleri's purchase of Coral8, which will lead to the integration of the two vendors' technologies (IMD, March 9)
