The Federation of Stock Exchanges in the European Community this week will begin considering responses to a request for qualification (RFQ) inviting vendors to suggest "possible technologies and architectures" for a pan-European market data network to be known as Pipe.
The Pipe project was given the go-ahead by the federation at a meeting in London last month. Delegates also confirmed the International (London) Stock Exchange's Michael Waller-Bridge as Pipe project manager. Once established,
