Nybot Upgrades to IP for Growth

The New York Board of Trade is upgrading its ticker plant distribution architecture to a modern IP-based delivery protocol to provide more bandwidth and give the exchange more flexibility to launch and segment new data products.

Richard Hampp, vice president of trading floor applications, says Nybot is about to complete the migration from a legacy asynchronous messaging protocol to IP for its feed of price, open interest and market summary information, following a nearly year-long project.
