Thomson Corp. Reports Strong Revenue

EARNINGS REPORT

TORONTO, ONT.--Thomson Financial’s parent company, Thomson Corp., has released its first quarter earnings results, showing a 30 percent growth in revenues over the first quarter of 2000. This, the company says, largely reflects the benefit of the businesses it acquired in 2000.

Thomson Corp.’s push into electronic publishing and the divestment of its newspaper products also helped. The company says electronic revenues accounted for 63 percent of its revenues as a whole during the first quarter
