Thomson, IDC Enjoy Q1 Gains, Telekurs Sees Downturn for ‘03

ORGANIZATION & STRATEGY

Thomson Financial and Interactive Data Corp. (IDC) both reported revenue increases for the first quarter of 2004 in their results calls last week. But Telekurs, which announced its full-year 2003 numbers, said turnover declined.

IDC had the strongest results with an 18.2 percent rise in revenues to $117.6 million as compared with Q1 2003. Excluding the contributions of businesses acquired in 2003 and the effects of foreign exchange, organic revenue growth was 2.2 percent.
