Thomson Financial pulled its many products into one platform and won a major contract with Merrill Lynch. Now, can it execute?

For the past several years, Thomson Financial’s customers have been confused by its myriad of product offerings, particularly after its acquisition of data vendors Primark and Carson in 2000. Observers now say the vendor has put together a product that users want and that is delivered the way they want it.

All Thomson has to do now is convert that interest into sales.
