Comex Sets Fee Hike; CEC Data Union Hangs In Balance

The Commodity Exchange Inc. (Comex) has pushed its quest for increased data revenues -- and its battle with the three other Commodity Exchange Center (CEC) member exchanges -- one step farther. Having gotten no satisfaction on its demand for a larger slice of the CEC's revenue pie, on Oct. 28, the Comex sent a letter to the CEC announcing plans to raise its data fees in accordance with the CEC requirement that fee changes be announced 60 days in advance.
