Dow Jones Telerate's long-time hegemony on the U.S. retail brokerage news market is showing signs of wear.

As an alternative to Dow Jones' new services, ADP has begun making available 100 days of Reuters' North American Securities News over its quote terminals. And already the herd has begun to disperse: Regional brokerage Interstate Johnson Lane Corp. has made the switch from Dow Jones to Reuters' news. Meanwhile, some national retail firms -- including Kidder Peabody & Co. and Dean Witter
