Bloomberg Opens Master Database; Sets $11M Price Tag

Bloomberg has unbundled some more, at a rather hefty price. The vendor has unveiled its so-called Bloomberg Data License product, which provides access to the non-real-time data that drives the Bloomberg system. The product does not include Bloomberg news, analytics or calculation libraries.

Typical users of the new product will likely include risk managers who need data for their proprietary models and buy-side portfolio managers who want to use the data as their security master file, says Ben
