Toronto Stock Exchange Opens Its Book To World

The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) is opening its book of data on equity orders for all the world to see in the hopes of pulling order flow from its major exchange competitors in New York and London.

The TSE wants to be "the New York Stock Exchange of Canada," says Jim Gallagher, TSE's executive vice president. Gallagher intends to pursue that goal by making more information available to all investors, with his target market being institutional investors.
