FTSE Replicates Alliance Strategy in the Asia-Pacific

FTSE, the UK-based index provider, is looking to win business in the Asia-Pacific through further alliances and joint ventures in the region, according to Paul Hoff, the company’s Tokyo-based Asia-Pacific managing director. The strategy is similar to both FTSE’s plan to expand its business in Europe and North America, and to the strategies of other index providers in Asia.

"If you look at FTSE, we have grown dramatically by partnerships," Hoff says. "The key one is still the London Stock Exchange
