Opra Increases Data Traffic Projections

According to a notice sent to data recipients last week from Opra executive director Joe Corrigan, firms will need capacity to handle 3,190,000 messages per second by January 2010 and 4,126,000 mps by January 2011.

This represents a 29 percent increase over the 2,475,000 mps predicted for 2010 in January this year, and comes close to tripling the highest peak traffic levels recorded so far.
