Demand Rises for Hosted Tick Utilities
Firms have historically stored data internally, but are struggling to normalize ever-increasing data volumes, says Mark Hepsworth, president of Interactive Data’s Real-Time Services division. Hepsworth says that demand is inevitably building up for vendor-hosted services which would “allow people to come in and access the data as and when they want to,” and that the vendor has already received inquiries from clients about the potential for providing a hosted tick service.
