After Delays, Reuters Preps Chi-X Direct Feed
However, sources say the vendor recently experienced problems carrying Chi-X's data via its consolidated RDF feed, owing to insufficient bandwidth.
While RDF Direct clients are responsible for connectivity to each venue, and therefore determine their own bandwidth allocations for each datafeed, firms that receive Chi-X data via Reuters' consolidated feed do not have this option.
These clients experienced delays in Chi-X data on Jan. 21, when falling equity prices prompted surging trading volumes
