Tibco Debuts Messaging ‘Appliance'


Almost 10 clients are now testing the appliance, which entered beta testing in September after Tibco announced the new product last May with messaging hardware provider Solace Systems, which is Tibco's manufacturing partner for the appliance (IMD, May 5, 2008).

The clients are mainly trading and investment firms that have large existing installations of Rendezvous and are looking to reduce the number of servers required to support their messaging functions, as well as firms that co-locate trading
