Cal Haverstock has resigned his post as president and chief executive officer of Star Data Systems Inc., the Markham, Ont.-based Canadian retail quote vendor. Says Haverstock, "I think the company wanted to go in a different direction. The board of directors, in the way they wanted to go in terms of integration, was different than what I wanted to do so we decided to part company." Haverstock has been replaced at Star Data by Alan Hutton. Hutton is already a member of Star Data's board of
