Vendors of market data management systems have seen a surge in business in the last few months as banks and firms look to streamline their market data costs. The vendors expect that momentum to continue as they move toward ASP services, which will open the door to smaller clients.
On the ASP model, systems are hosted and managed by a third party, which often allows smaller companies with fewer resources to afford the services.
