LONDON--Merrill Lynch has issued a Request For Information (RFI) for one of the world's largest sites. In the RFI, say sources that have seen it, Merrill is aiming to consolidate its market data infrastructure, desktop and feeds in the move to its new European headquarters in London, which is scheduled for 2001. The solution is required to be scalable to 4000 positions.
A key objective for Merrill appears to be to reduce costs, as opposed to promoting a new technology vision. Sources say that
