Reuters Signs Agreement With Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK: Marking a turnaround for both companies, Dow Jones & Co. has signed an agreement with Reuters to provide most of the Dow Jones Newswires as optional services to Reuters subscribers. The deal illustrates the reversal of Dow Jones' previous policy, which disallowed Telerate's competitors from distributing its newswires.

The recently signed agreement is one of a series of distribution arrangements, made possible after Dow Jones sold Telerate. These include Bloomberg, Bridge Information
