SCROLLING NEWS
Reuters last week announced a deal with US company information provider Mergent to give users of Reuters’ Station, Trader and 3000Xtra products access to Mergent’s BondSource municipal bonds database, which contains over 1,400,000 security descriptions on 70,000 issuers. The vendor also announced that Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie is set to deploy 50 positions of Reuters Trader in the firm’s relationship management group. Of these, 41 are upgrades from the legacy Reuters Market Monitor, while nine are new positions.
ComStock Upgrades XpressFeed Tech
ComStock last week introduced a new API for its XpressFeed, designed to simplify the integration of the feed into client applications and minimize feed maintenance. The vendor also launched Xpress Server, a new market data server to support low-latency market data applications. Xpress Server will initially include modules for time and sales/time and quote data, historical data and market depth.
Sydbank Automates Corporate Actions
Sydbank, Denmark’s fourth-largest bank, has gone live on SmartStream Technologies’ TLM Corporate Actions system as the first step of the bank’s effort to automate corporate actions processing. Prior to the implementation, the bank had to manually cleanse all event data provided by its custodians. However, the bank has now implemented the Danish CSD’s vp.FACT corporate actions feed, based on Telekurs Financial’s Valordata feed, in Swift and ISO 15022 format to verify the custodian data.
EDI Launches New Data
London-based Exchange Data International has launched a global feed of closing prices for bonds, equities and warrants, delivered via FTP; a new online service of global withholding tax rates; and has upgraded its worldwide corporate actions and dividend feed. The corporate actions data now covers 55 event types and warrants, and is available in FTP or ISO 15022 format. EDI has also upgraded its Web browser viewer, officials say.
