Hank Stohr, who led Dean Witter Reynolds Inc.'s aborted attempt to build its own 10,000-position quote system, has been hired by Merrill Lynch & Co.'s applications management group. Stohr is working in the group's corporate data architecture segment, reporting to group manager Robert Dieckmann.
"Steve Tompsett has left Telerate," said the voice message last week on the machine at this Telerate international product manager's former office. Tompsett will be joining Reuters' Instinet.
