Barra, FTSE Reach Preliminary Agreement

Barra and FTSE Group have come to a preliminary agreement after months of difficult contract negotiations. The terms allow Barra to maintain the right to use and distribute FTSE index data through its existing products. Barra will also use FTSE data to develop new risk models.
