Dresdner Sells Database to IBM

Dresdner Bank and IBM last month signed a deal for IBM to take over the operation of the bank’s financial market information database for an undisclosed sum. The database was originally a joint development between the two parties to collect, archive and analyze data for risk management purposes by the bank. Now IBM alone will operate the database for Dresdner and will take on 24 bank employees from the start of February in order to run it. IBM will also offer
