Sedol: the Unique Identifier?

The London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) proposed extension of its Sedol code is the only current model that meets the criteria of a unique instrument identifier, according to a white paper published last week by the Reference Data User Group (RDUG) and Reference Data Coalition (Redac).
